Travel day

Sadly we had to leave Fabulous and Sexy :( :( 

We took the high speed train from Rome to Naples..,., that was fun !!

Then not so fun but an experience ..the local train from Naples to Sorrento. An hour standing on an overcrowded train with our luggage . Think of skytrain in rush hour...in 27 degrees. But we survived...lol

The VERY expensive place we are renting... the most costly yet..  is also the WORST.  It was the only accommodation we could find. 

But we are close to everything and the town looked cute as we came in from the train.

We decided to go for a walk and it turned out that we are only a block from this ...

We walked down towards the marina/water as we heard there was a fish festival. We went around the corner and .....

There were hundreds of people mostly locals and it turned out it was some type of benefit. You bought a ticket for €5 and that entitled you to a wine and something fish to eat. They had lots of different stalls and you had to line up to get something. Ron had fresh calamari and a bun and I had risotto with clams, mussels, and some type of fish. We had white wine that tasted and smelled like nail polish. It came out of a huge jug, more than likely homemade. You know it was bad if I couldn't finish mine... lol.  Ron had a €2 dessert. Once again you had to push and hustle your way to get a ticket

But he said it was worth it !!!

He's gonged out on cheap wine and a huge piece of sugary meringue dessert made with limoncello.

They even had a sort of oompah band that was loud, energetic and everyone was dancing.  Ron took a video but I can't figure out how to put it on the blog. This is the oompah leader. I think maybe he's whacked out on the cheap nail polish wine .... lol

We had a lot of fun !!!

We are home in the room now but the enjoyable evening hasn't made the place any better. The bed squeaks badly when you sit on it because the two single beds are zap strapped together. But not to worry we have the restaurant below us washing and clanking dishes and someone singing so loud that it's drowning that out. 

And did I mention it's expensive...  

And that we're here for 4 nights :( :( 

Bring on the tequila.... and lots of it...
