Travel day
Not much to say today. We left Sorrento at 7:30 am for an hr trip on the local train to Naples. Waited an hr then the fast train...another hour to Rome. After another hr wait transferred to the fast train to La Spezia...5 hrs. Then waited another hr for the local train to Riomaggiore. A lot of one hour layovers... lol. The fellow we are renting the room from met us at the train station. A total of 10 hours travel so we have had enough for today. We got a few groceries and are in our little apt for the night. One problem, no air conditioning which is ok but with the window open there are little tiny mosquitos......argggg. Our attempt at a solution ... we taped the curtain to the window added a pillowcase to the part not covered and used good old duct tape. Hope it works !!

The train from Sorrento to Naples is really something! We had Gypsies one day playing music and asking for money. I suggested we pay them to go away lol.
ReplyDeleteThe train can't be much slower. Quite a change from the fast train to Rome!
