We made it to the train station on time for our train at 10:40. We were waiting on the track next to the train saying Salzburg..which was our destination. No one was getting on the train so we finally asked a fellow passenger .. with not much English.. and she told us it was now going at 11:40. So we waited the hour, got on the train and were ready to go. The conductor came by just as we were about to leave the station and it turned out we were on the wrong train going to the right place!!! We ran to another train going to Salzburg, now an hr late and hoped this time we were on the right one... especially as the train was leaving the station with us on it... lol. Turned out we were ok but we had to sit separately and were moved quite a few times as we didn't have reservations and we were late. Frustrating but now a humorous anecdote :)
Also a lady... I use that term loosely.. had a huge verbal fight with the female conductor. Others had to get involved... it was quite a train trip !!!
We made it to Salzburg.. walked around a bit tonight as it was clouding over quickly and it is supposed to rain tomorrow :(
