Travel day to our last destination Paris

We left Nice this morning enroute to Paris on the fast train. I must admit these trains are a little scary when they ramp up the speed. I was thinking about that crash in Spain :( The trip was to be 5 hrs but it was "retard" by 30 minutes before we left and while we were traveling there was a medical emergency and we had to leave the fast track in a small town. An ambulance was waiting and they took someone off the train.  We arrived an hour late into Paris but we're not on a schedule so it didn't matter.  It took us a bit to find the apt and to get used to the change in temperature in the north... brrrr

Our place is ok as we have a bedroom and a kitchen so we can cook . It is in a good location but is really loud tonight as it is on a square with bars and restaurants and it's the weekend. Ron says that we're experiencing the true Paris..., but I, being older, just think it is noisy... lol

Tomorrow we will begin our exploration.  

Yahoo !!!!  Chicken, potatoes, broccoli and carrots for dinner....cooked at home by Ron. He's the best :)

And of course French wine....inexpensive but fabulous!!
