This is the largest fountain outside of Italy and was built on a cemetery.
The Salzburg Cathedral was built first in 774 then rebuilt after a fire in 1628 and rebuilt once more after an aerial bomb destroyed part of it in WWII.
The center done is 84 meters high and largely built of plaster.
While we were there a group of children/teenagers and their conductor arrived spontaneously and began singing. The voices and sounds made both Ron and I tear up !! I can only imagine how amazing it must have been in Mozart's time with over 100 choir members singing from above.



Just thinking about being in a structure that Mozart stood in is amazing! I love Europe!
