The opportunity to revisit Europe after 43 years
The day started overcast and a bit drizzly but still warm.
So we decided to go to the Galileo Museum. It was really interesting .... what a brilliant mind !!!
Fresh croissant, cappuccino and then some figs I picked off the tree for breakfast. Although I have never been much of a coffee drinker the Italians sure know how to do it right.
We did a bit of hiking in the hills where we are staying. Good to get some fresh air and burn off breakfast.

We took the bus to Florence and then the heavens opened... torrential rain and thunder and lightening.
I got my first official Senior discount.
The nice lady at the museum signed my ticket ...Happy Birthday in Italian ...
We went to a trattoria for a delicious pasta dinner.... capers, herbs, ground toasted almonds and fresh tomatoes with of course great Italian vino. Can't complain celebrating a milestone in Italy !!
