Morning Salzburg

First on the agenda was a walk up along the eroding stone wall that was originally built to protect the city in 1614.

Looking through a slot that they used to shoot arrows 

It was more than mile straight up..part of it Grouse Grindish :)
They provide you with a "tap" trough to refill your water bottle 

From the top we could see the countryside on the other side of the Salza river. And the fortress that we would visit that in the afternoon. 


After that hike ... streudel lunch :)
