Oosthuizen

We have been staying with Hans and Gre in Oosthuizen. It is a quaint village of 3,000 people about 20 minutes north of Amsterdam. Very tranquil and peaceful. Many people cycle and it is easy to navigate. The village has a few small shops, one of them being a butcher who sells only grain fed animals who have lived on nearby farms. We bought some spek which was the most amazing thin sliced bacon!! Every Friday there is a market and  they have traveling truck/trailers they use as stalls. One truck had over 50 types of cheeses.... sooooo delicious. Ron and I  especially love all the old cheeses.
