Next stop Brussels

Today we took the train to Belgium.... two connections but no trouble. For some unknown reason I have always wanted to visit Brussels. And it is exactly as I imagined ... cobblestone streets, cafes and unbelievably ornate buildings.  Not as many people speak English... and the official language is a mixture of Dutch, German and French. Some of the French language is familiar to us.. as is their attitude..lol.

Built in the 1400's, these buildings surround a huge courtyard and the complex is called The Grand Place. That definitely describes it. Each side of the square courtyard is magnificent and each side is different.  It is difficult to show the grandeur in pictures.
